(Film 1) oder: vom Zauber der Unsterblichkeit Indien einmal ganz anders: die Legenden und Schöpfungsmythen seiner Großen Götter in märchenhaften Bildern erzählt. Was hat es mit der Schöpfung unserer Welt auf sich? Der Hinduismus gibt darauf eine Antwort, - eine poetische Version der Urknalltheorie: Überall herrscht Dunkelheit, sternenlose Nacht. Gott Vishnu schläft tief. Er ruht in und auf der Substanz seines eigenen Seins, dem kosmischen, dunklen Urwasser. Doch irgendwann einmal beginnt er zu träumen. Dann wächst aus seinem Nabel ein Lotus aus reinem Gold, strahlend wie die Sonne. Auf ihm sitzt Brahma der Schöpfergott. Ein Tag Brahmas bricht an. Der Kosmos, unsere Welt entsteht. Sie ist maya, Vishnus Traum. Doch ist nicht alles nur ein Traum. Vielmehr gilt es, aus diesem Traum aufzuwachen, vom leidvollen Zyklus der Wiedergeburten erlöst zu werden; denn die Seele, sie ist unsterblich, wie ein Tropfen auf einem Lotusblatt (der nicht haftet und sich nicht verbindet), heißt es in den alten Schriften der Inder. Dieser eine Tropfen weist über die Zahl 4, das Symbol für die sichtbare Welt, hinaus. Die 4+1, die 5, symbolisiert den ersten Schritt in Richtung Ewigkeit. Und so begeben wir uns nach Indien und machen uns auf die Suche nach dem Zauber der Unsterblichkeit

4 and One Drops on a Lotus Leaf or: The Magic of Immortality A totally different view of India: the legends and creation myths of its great gods, told in magical images How did our world come to be? Hinduism gives us an answer to that question – a poetic version of the “big bang” theory: there is darkness everywhere, a starless night, the god Vishnu is fast asleep. He reposes in and on the substance of his own being, the cosmic, dark primeval water. But at some point in time he starts to dream. Then a lotus of pure gold grows out of his navel, glowing like the sun. The creator god Brahma is seated upon it. A Brahma day dawns. The cosmos, our world, comes into existence. It is Maya, Vishnu’s dream. But it is not all just a dream. The point is far more to awaken from this dream and be released from the sorrowful cycle of reincarnations. for the soul is immortal like a drop on a lotus leaf (which does not adhere and does not bind) it says in the ancient scriptures of India. This one drop points beyond the number 4, the symbol of the visible world. The 4+1, the number 5, thus symbolizes the first step toward eternity. And so we make our way to India and set out on our quest for the magic of immortality.
